The hydraulic SOCOMEC breaker range for excavators from 8 to 16 tons currently consists of three models: DMS 530, DMS 850, MDO 1000 TS. Among the wide range of solutions offered by the company, this equipment has quite particular characteristics able to combine the technical advantages guaranteed by the simple structure of the light weight DMS breaker range and the extreme reliability in carrying out heavy works typical of the heavy weight MDO breaker range. The inside structure of the middle class breaker range is composed by a steel monoblock without tie rods (main cause of maintenance): this characteristic allows to simplify enormously the maintenance. In fact it is possible to position the piston and its bushes from the top, without dismantling the breaker, while the only component to be fastened is the accumulator, that seals everything inside. Inside the monoblock, the piston is equipped with a strong hydraulic break able to avoid harmful blank firing to the breaker. The middle weight class breakers share, together with the heavy weight class breakers, the new hydraulic oil working pressure control system on the input line to the breaker, which always guarantees a constant and reliable performance. The middle weight class breaker range, as well as the heavy weight class breaker range, is able to face heavy duty works (quarries), thanks to a new type of metal case built in high resistant steel, along with side guides in the lower part of the breaker and an innovative upper rubber pad which totally eliminates vibrations to the excavator boom.
